Cambo Mini View Cameras

View Cameras offer photographers what no other type of camera system can – with controls for shift, rise/fall, tilt and swing all built into a bellows based system of front and back standards. Cambo revolutionised the traditional View Camera in 2014, bringing the format into the digital age with the Actus Mini, designed for smaller SLRs and then mirrorless camera designs that we’re beginning to hit the market. For product photographers seeking selective focus or maximum depth of field without requiring focus stacking in the studio, and even landscape and architectural photographers, there’s an Actus model to suit, regardless of camera brand or format.

Cambo Actus-B

The advent of high quality sensors in mirrorless camera formats, resulted in a view camera design from Cambo in an unprecedented small form factor. It adds real view camera technology to your existing camera body, making it a more capable photographic tool. Since it’s expandable with various longer rails and bellows, it’s great for macro work in the studio as well.

Cambo Actus-DB2

The View Camera for Digital Backs

The Cambo ACTUS-DB2 is an evolution of the ACTUS-Mini series for use with Digital Backs. Via precision engineered adapters, it accepts modern CMOS backs like Hasselblad CFV-100 and Phase One IQ4, as well as most legacy backs. It shares many parts with the ACTUS, thus minimising size and weight. Although sensors used in digital backs are considerably larger than those in mirrorless and slr cameras, the height of the ACTUS-DB2 is just slightly more, but the Cambo ACTUS-DB2 remains small and lightweight and fits easily into a small case or bag.

Dimensions LxWxH: 180 x 100 x 210mm
Weight: 1200grams
Front Swing: 360°
Front Tilt: 19° (+10°/-9°)

Cambo Actus-G990D/G991D

The View Camera for multiple sensor formats

The Actus-G990D/G991D is the preferred choice if you need a compact view camera that accepts every sensor format, including Digital Backs. For those who need the same functionality but won’t require compatibility with a Digital Back, we recommend the regular Actus-G as the better option. Two variations are available, the ACDB-990 (for Phase One) or ACDB-991 (Hasselblad CFV). The front standard is slightly higher than the Actus-G which is necessary to fully align lens and sensor when using a Digital Back. To use it with Mirrorless or DSLR cameras we recommend the higher bayonet holders from the Actus-MV view camera.

Technical Specifications:

Dimensions LxWxH: 152 x 115 x 180mm
Weight: 1160grams
Front Swing: 360°
Front Tilt: 19° (+10°/-9°)
Rear Shift Vertical: 27mm (12/15)
Rear Shift Horizontal: 40mm (20/20)
Focus Travel: up to 134mm (-GFX sensor)

Cambo View Camera Range

Where the Mini View Cameras excel in portability, the full size View Cameras deliver unparalleled functionality – offer more shift, rise/fall, tilt and swing alongside finer geared controls across both front and back standards; with extensive bellows, mount and lens options. Cambo revolutionised the traditional View Camera in 2014, bringing the format into the digital age with the Actus Mini, and did it again with the introduction of the Actus MV. For product photographers seeking total focal plane control or maximum depth of field without requiring focus stacking in the studio, the Actus View Camera should be an integral part of the studio workflow.

The rear standard can be completed with a choice of adapters for virtually every digital back available. At the front standard the Actus-MV accepts all lens plates from the Actus range, the Cambo Actar lens range, medium format adapters, lens plates for X-Shutter lenses and (legacy) leaf shutter lenses. Modular is the keyword. The Actus-XL accepts all Actus lens plates and lens adapters.
