The XC is a pared back tool that doesn’t get in the photographers way, and is an ideal companion for professional travel photographers and passionate travellers, who want to capture their surroundings in stunning detail.
Key Features of the Phase One XC
Big prints become immersive enough to walk right into, discovering new layers of detail with each step. The full frame 150MP Backside Illuminated sensor of the IQ4 offers the best possible resolution, colour, detail and noise handling within the camera’s 16 bit RAW files.
Managing bright highlights and deep shadow is crucial in bringing images dramatically to life whether in the built or natural environment. The XC’s 15 stop dynamic range, is designed to record and maximize the full potential of any and all available light.
The XC removes the distraction of lens selection and is available in the Ultra-Wide-Angle 23mm and Wide-Angle 40mm fixed focal lengths, ideal options for those who prefer expansive perspective or lean towards a more natural view in your image taking, capturing the world closer to how you see it.
Currently running Feature Update #8, you can find out more on the Phase One website about how this and previous updates have unlocked significant new workflows within the IQ4, that would typically only by delivered through brand new camera model releases. Note that these features are applicable to the IQ4 back as opposed to the XC. Other feature updates are for the XT and XF models only.
