Big prints become immersive enough to walk right into, discovering new layers of detail with each step. The full frame 150MP Backside Illuminated sensor offers the best possible resolution, colour, detail and noise handling within the camera’s 16 bit RAW files.

As photographers we instinctively understand the importance of light in bringing images dramatically to life. While we cannot control the weather, the XT’s 15 stop dynamic range, along with supportive tools such as ETTR, Dual Exposure+, are designed to record and maximize the full potential of any and all available light. One of the XT’s most groundbreaking features is Frame Averaging: a whole new way of thinking about the effect of time within photography. By decoupling the two primary elements of exposure—time and light—FA essentially avoids the need for cumbersome ND filters.

Phase One’s newly developed XT Rodenstock lenses have been designed without any compromising features—autofocus, stabilisation, larger apertures— just a dedication to optical precision and sharpness. The XT Camera System takes full advantage of the Rodenstock optics with 24mm of shift on both X and Y axes. These movements allow you to correct for perspective distortion or create panoramic and stitched images quickly and precisely. The shift position of the camera is integrated into the image file providing immediate feedback for later use
Additionally, the design of the XT allows you to quickly rotate the camera between portrait and landscape orientation while remaining securely mounted to a tripod via an integrated Arca Swiss-type mount, further expanding the integrated workflow.
